As our Innovation & Product Development Scientist, you will lead the end-to-end development of innovative nutraceutical and cosmetic products—from the initial consumer insight to the final product on the shelf.
You will combine scientific excellence with commercial vision, helping us create differentiated, evidence-based products with real market impact.
Designing innovative formulations for food supplements and cosmetics, selecting active ingredients based on scientific evidence, functional synergies, and regulatory compliance (EFSA, EC 1223/2009, etc.).
Monitoring scientific literature, industry congresses (Vitafoods, In-Cosmetics), and ingredient suppliers to identify breakthrough innovations and emerging trends.
Assessing patentability opportunities and collaborating with IP specialists to evaluate novelty, inventive step, and freedom-to-operate.
Translating scientific evidence into compelling product claims and collaborating with Marketing and Commercial teams on product positioning, ingredient storytelling, and technical naming.
Supporting regulatory documentation, including technical dossiers, stability studies, CPNP/NNDU documentation, safety files, and scientific substantiation of claims.
Building strong technical relationships with ingredient suppliers, CDMOs, and research institutions while evaluating co-development opportunities.
Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Regulatory, Operations, and Commercial teams to bring innovation to market.
Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
2–4 years of experience in nutraceutical and/or cosmetic product formulation.
Strong ability to critically evaluate scientific literature (PubMed, systematic reviews, clinical studies).
Solid knowledge of the European regulatory framework (Cosmetics Regulation, EFSA, NHP).
Fluent technical English (written and spoken).

Experience or interest in Intellectual Property and patents.
Expertise in hair health, skin health, microbiome, or nutricosmetics.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (Marketing, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal).
Attendance at major industry events such as Vitafoods, In-Cosmetics, or Pharmapack.
Research experience or scientific publications.
